Many children and youth with mental health challenges face unique obstacles to healthy living due to the symptoms of their illness or the effects of their medication. The Healthy Living…It’s in Everyone toolkit addresses these obstacles with information, resources, and tools to promote healthy living for these children, youth and their families.

The French translation of the toolkit was made possible through a partnership between the BC Mental Health & Addiction Services (BCMHAS) and BC Children’s Hospital (BCCH), agencies of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), and the Francophone Affairs Program via the Canada-BC Cooperation Agreement on Official Languages, and Réso-Santé ColombieBritannique, an organization that supports the development, integration, and sustainability of French-language health services throughout BC. The Provincial Language Service (PLS), PHSA translated the toolkit, and PLS Francophone Services helped bring all the partnerstogether.

The French toolkit is available to BC families, as well as organizations serving BC’s francophone families, in both print and online. The print toolkit can be ordered free of charge from the bookstore or borrowed from the library in the Family Support & Resource Centre supporting BC Children’s Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital. The toolkit can also be downloaded as a PDF from the Kelty Mental Health Resource Centre website.
