About the Rehabilitation and Recovery Program
Who We Treat
The Rehabilitation and Recovery Program, operated by Coast Mental Health, is a provincial resource providing specialized Tier 4 treatment services for BC adults (19 years of age or older) who have completed treatment at the Burnaby Centre for Mental Health and Addiction (BCMHA) or the Heartwood Centre for Women who may benefit from continued treatment and additional support services as they transition back to their home communities.
Services We Offer
Program services include ongoing support and assessment, crisis intervention, coordinated psychiatric and medical treatment, life and social skills building, counseling, vocational skills training, resource coordination and advocacy, peer run programs and other programs and services to support clients in their successful recovery.
The Healthcare Team
Each client will receive highly supported services through a multidisciplinary care team of professionals with specialized expertise in treating substance addictions and mental health disorders. The care team includes psychiatrists, general practitioners (physicians), nurses, social workers, vocational counsellors, rehabilitation workers, leisure worker and other care staff. They work collaboratively with the client on their care planning to meet their treatment goals.
