We fund Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) assessments for incarcerated adults to decide whether they are eligible for services from Community Living BC, an organization that provides services for people with developmental disabilities.

FASD assessments are for people from one of three provincial correctional centres:
- Alouette Correctional Centre for Women
- Fraser Regional Correctional Centre
- Vancouver Island Regional Correctional Centre
Some clients can also be referred directly from Community Living BC. Contact the Asante Centre, which provides the assessments, for details.
BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services provides leadership, expertise, and oversight to specialized provincial programs delivered by carefully selected contractors. We have partnered with the Asante Centre to provide these FASD assessments. We fund the service, and the Asante Centre delivers it.
