Family Support Group

We offer a support group for families who have a loved one receiving treatment in one of our mental health and addiction programs.

For family members, helping a loved one who is struggling with a mental health or substance use issue can be extremely difficult. By connecting with other people who are also trying to help someone with mental illness and/or addiction, you can find support and understanding.

Our family support group, run by family volunteers, offers a safe place to share and process your experiences with supporting a loved one living with mental illness and addiction challenges, as well as your insights into navigating the B.C. health care system.

Who can take part?

The Family Support Group is open to all family members, loved ones and support people of current or former clients or patients in the following BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services programs:

You are welcome to take part in the support group either in person or via phone.

When and where

The Family Support Group is commencing on June 14 at the Red Fish Healing Centre. It will happen monthly on the second Wednesdays from 2:30 – 4 p.m. Underground parking is available.
