Health Promotion and Literacy

BC Partners for Mental Health and Substance Use Information is a coalition of seven non-profit agencies working together to help people better prevent and manage mental health and substance use problems and live a healthier life.
BCMHSUS leads the coalition and contracts with partner organizations to provide evidence based health promotion and health literacy events, documents and support.

Together with BCMHSUS, the Partners developed the Here to Help website, which contains mental health and addictions information, on-line support and resources.

The BC Partners aim to improve British Columbians’ understanding of mental health and substance use issues and increase their knowledge of how to access services in their communities and address the stigma that exists around mental health and substance use. The BC Partners have developed and improved health literacy materials and resources to support the mental health and substance use literacy needs of target populations in BC.
